Sworn translation of civil status documents

How Sara handles it

  • 01

Names spelled to match your passport

Arabic names can be transliterated several ways. Sara always aligns the spelling with your passport or existing foreign documents to avoid identity mismatches.

  • 02

    Handwritten entries and stamps included

Lebanese registers are often partly handwritten. Every annotation, stamp and marginal note is rendered and clearly labelled.

  • 03

    Authentication guidance

When the destination country requires it, she explains exactly how to authenticate the translation at the Ministry of Justice and Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and in which order.

Questions

Questions about this service

Read all FAQs
Do I need the original document?

For most purposes a clear scan or photograph is enough to translate. Some authorities require the translation to be attached to the original or a certified copy; Sara will tell you what your destination requires.

How long does a birth certificate take?

A standard civil status extract is usually ready within 24 hours. Same-day service is available for urgent appointments.

Will the embassy accept it?

Yes. Sworn translations bearing her seal are accepted by embassies in Lebanon and by foreign authorities. If your destination requires an additional Ministry of Foreign Affairs authentication, she will guide you through it.
